2014 Niagara Folk Arts Festival
Welcome to the Niagara Folk Arts Festival, Canada’s oldest continually-running Heritage Festival. This festival is a beautiful blend of the cultures and people that make Canada a nation to be envied.

During the festival the multicultural community opens its doors and its hearts and welcomes you to experience the beauty and uniqueness of their cultures, traditions, art, music and food. There are dances, exhibitions, live entertainment and more.

AMBASSADORS’ BALL (Friday , May 9th 2014)

A gala prelude to the Festival with presentation of the 2014 Festival Ambassadors representing Niagara’s many ethno-cultural clubs. Enjoy dinner, dancing, live music and entertainment. National dress encouraged! Black tie is optional. $45.00 per person. Tickets: kfelice@folk-arts.ca

Official Festival Opening
The One World Stage at Montebello Park
Saturday, May 17th, 2014 at 12:00pm

Colour and pageantry, fanfare and music as the procession of Festival Ambassadors winds its way from the Folk Arts Multicultural Centre to the One World Stage at Montebello Park. Amidst traditional colourful costumes and swirling flags join us as we kick off the Niagara Folk Arts Festival in style!

The Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural Center wishes to thank our sponsors for their continued generous financial and in kind support; members of the Folk Arts Council Multicultural Clubs for sharing their time and talents and true dedication; and all the performing artists, talented artisans, vendors and suppliers who make Folk Arts in the Park a true celebration of the many cultures that make Canada a very special place to live.

Following the Festival’s Opening is a fun filled day including live entertainment, artisans, and great food and drink. Enjoy a taste of “folk arts”!

The fun begins Saturday morning at 11:30 am as the procession of Festival Ambassadors winds its way from the Folk Arts Center on Church Street to the One World Stage at Montebello Park in downtown St. Catharines. Come and experience a multicultural variety of culinary delights, live performances on the One World Stage…a showcase of artisans and crafters…and family friendly activities.
