2013 Canadian Statutory Holidays Calendar

Canadian-Statutory-HolidaysThis page has a calendar and information about holidays in Canada in 2013 including stat holidays and other unofficial celebrations such as Halloween, Mother’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day or Valentine’s Day.

2013 is a not leap year, (fyi: 2012 was a leap year) but even if it was, holidays won’t be affected – thankfully no holiday is on February 29th.

2013 is a very straight-forward year as far as holidays are concerned because no holiday falls on a Sunday or Saturday so there is no confusion if the days are brought forward or not. This is a relief for all HR folks – it’s amazing how much confusion Canada Day created in 2012 when it was on Sunday.

Easter / Good Friday this year is in March, Christmas day and boxing day in 2013 are on Wednesday and Thursday. Will you try to take Monday and Tuesday off? Many of us will try, for sure.
